PS, polymerized
by SM, is one of the commonly used commodity plastics. According to
its compositions, PS can be grouped into General Purpose Polystyrene
(GPPS), which is polymerized by 100% SM, and High-Impact Polystyrene(HIPS),
which is a SM and rubber copolymer. PS has characteristics in excellent
electrical-insulation, low water take-up and high-flow properties.
It is widely used for the manufacturing of food
containers, toys, plastic
cards materials( IC cards), and 3C
products. |
